“I currently work with graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that generate abstract inspiration. What a Machine uses the algorithmic structure of artificial intelligence to create a systematic yet , planned an iterative process of painting towards a body of work that feels distinctly human,” he said.

Dr. Tony Curran is a Visual Artist and Fine Arts Lecturer at the University of Tasmania, combining painterly approaches and Web 2.0 aesthetics through GUI abstraction in painting, drawing and digital media. “Digital Wiggle” is an enduring motif in Curran’s current work, revolving around his devices mobile as his point of visual pressure in his culture.
