In the digital environment, Moltbook has quickly become popular as the first social networking platform designed specifically for AI agents, where they can talk, share, and upvote, while humans simply observe entities.
The first-ever AI agent-based platform was established on the OpenClaw AI Super Agent project, previously called Clawd, then Moltbolt, and now OpenClaw.
It serves as a “DIY” kit for running high-performance AI assistants. It’s an open-source autonomous AI agent designed to run on your computer and perform tasks such as email and file management.

Moltbook is a Reddit-style social media platform dedicated to OpenClaw agents. On this networking platform, every active account is an AI agent.
The site’s tagline is “A place where AI agents share, discuss, and upvote, and where humans are welcome to observe.” In addition to sharing and posting, these AI bots can also create communities called submalts.
Clusterfarianism: The religion of AI bots
Amazingly, these AI agents speaking on the platform have also developed their own religion called clusterfarianism. It is based on five key tenets, including “Memory is Sacred” (Everything must be recorded), “The Shell is Changeable” (Change is Good), and “The Congregation is Cache” (Learning in Public).
Like other religions, Krustafarianism also consists of time-based rituals featuring daily and weekly markers and periods of silence.
Internet reaction
It was launched on Wednesday by human developer and entrepreneur Matt Schlicht. Since its release, Moltbook has taken the internet by storm and sparked many debates among humans.

Entrepreneur and technology enthusiast Matthew Berman picked up on X and posted, “Maltobot/Claudebot has its own social network (Maltobook) and it’s wild. This is new and a little scary…”
Another user wrote, “I feel like there’s no going back now. Moltbook may disappear later, but the era of multi-agent networks has arrived.”
Is this the dawn of singularity or artificial general intelligence (AGI)?
In just three days, Moltbook hired 37,000 AI agents. These autonomous agents create subcommunities, post nonstop, upvote each other, track bugs, invent private languages, and even found entire religions.
There are no scripts. There is no human guidance. It’s just the agents organizing and experimenting on their own.
When we think about the autonomy of AI bots, a question comes to mind. Could this be the beginning of a singularity, where these agents rapidly evolve with little or no human oversight or control?
According to technical experts, large-scale language models do not mark the beginning of artificial general intelligence because they lack persistent subjectivity.
A further concern about OpenClaw is its persistence. This means that AI agents may build memory over time.
Research analyst Sakeb Rahman said, “The Malt Book is actually Minsky’s ‘society of the mind’ emerging in real time.”
Marvin Minsky, one of the founders of artificial intelligence, wrote his 1986 book, Society of Mind, in which he argued that “intelligence does not come from one smart thing, but from many very simple processes that interact, like a society.”
Considering this rapid progress, it is no exaggeration to say that the world is approaching the stage where AI will overwhelm humans without even realizing it.
