The craze for the American sitcom Friends remains iconic among young people decades later. The show has had 10 seasons and still has a huge fan following. The film revolves around six adults living in Manhattan who indulge in adventures that make their lives both messy and exciting. But have you ever imagined recreating Friends in Bollywood style? AI has made it possible by reimagining popular Bollywood celebrities as Friends characters.

On January 18, an AI-generated video shared by digital creator Abhishek Prabhu replaced characters from Friends with popular Bollywood stars. “Mitron” is an AI-powered Hindi retelling of the sitcom “Friends,” starring Bollywood stars in iconic roles. Aamir Khan plays Chandler Bing, Varun Dhawan plays Joey Tribbiani, and Ranbir Kapoor plays Ross Geller. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Monica Geller, Priyanka Chopra plays Rachel Green, and Kangana Ranaut plays Phoebe Buffay. Hrithik Roshan’s casting as Phoebe’s boyfriend Mike Hannigan has sparked interest due to past rumors linking him to Ranaut.

An AI-generated video recreating ‘FRIENDS’ with Bollywood actors went viral, racking up more than 4.5 million views in 24 hours. The creators trolled fans with a disclaimer that the casting choices were intentionally provocative. Online reaction was mixed. While some praised the AI’s technological prowess, many die-hard Friends fans criticized the Bollywood cast, arguing that the original characters were irreplaceable and that the casting misrepresented their personalities.

Despite the criticism, the video’s popularity highlights FRIENDS’ enduring global appeal.
