As many companies move their systems to VMware environments, they need real-time insights into application and server performance, efficiency, and reliability.
To meet this need, SIOS Technology is announcing the latest release of SIOS iQ machine learning analytics software. This provides new capabilities that enable accuracy and precision in performance analysis of VMware environments.
“SIOS iQ puts all critical information about an organization’s infrastructure at their fingertips, so IT administrators can ensure that applications are running efficiently, problems are quickly identified and resolved, and VMware resources are not wasted,” said Jerry Melnick, president and CEO of SIOS Technology. “These latest enhancements further simplify understanding IT operations and help solve problems in dynamic virtual environments.”
Highlights of SIOS iQ 3.3 include best practices analytics capabilities that allow SIOS iQ to provide insight into performance, efficiency, reliability, and capacity utilization immediately after implementation. Event injection enables VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.0 (vROps) to display high availability cluster health, host-based cache configuration recommendations, undersized VMs, idle resources, and more, making it easier to stop and fix performance issues.
Version 3.4 includes the Topology Impact Analysis view. It is a visual map of your VMware infrastructure that shows interrelated objects (VMs, networks, storage, applications) and their relationships, highlighting their current status and abnormal behavior. Drill-down screens allow IT staff to investigate detailed root causes of performance issues and recommendations for improvement.
IT staff can enhance SIOS iQ’s understanding of both normal and abnormal infrastructure behavior by adding parameters to increase precision and accuracy. It also provides a reliability indicator in the SIOS PERC dashboard that shows the number of host failures the cluster has experienced over time and when there are not enough hosts to withstand future failures.
SIOS iQ 3.3 is available now. Version 3.4 is expected to be released by the end of the year. Visit the SIOS website for more information and pricing.
