Meta Platforms is developing an artificial intelligence model, code-named Mango, to generate images and videos to accelerate efforts into multimodal AI capabilities, according to people who spoke to The Wall Street Journal.
Meta's chief AI officer, Alexandr Wang, and the company's chief product officer, Chris Cox, discussed the upcoming model during an internal Q&A session on Thursday. Stakeholders who participated in the discussion provided details about the progress of the project.
The Mango model is expected to be available in the first half of 2026. This schedule is consistent with Meta's continued efforts to advance its AI technology.
