Apraava Energy is nationally recognized for its artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions aimed at building data-driven, consumer-centric, and future-ready energy solutions for India. The recognition was awarded at the Ministry of Power's 'National Conference on the Use of AI and ML in the Power Distribution Sector' under the Revamped Power Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). The two-day conference demonstrated cutting-edge use cases to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency and increase consumer satisfaction across Indian DISCOMs. The runner-up award was presented to the Apraava Energy team by Mr. Manohar Lal Khatar, Minister of State for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs.

Nearly 200 solutions were announced from DISCOMs, Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs), Technology Solution Providers (TSPs), and Home Automation Solution Providers (HASPs).

In the AMISP category, Apraava Energy showcased its solution Discom GPT (Grid.) developed in partnership with WorkOnGrid. Next-generation solutions have demonstrated how behavioral demand response and AI-based operational automation can improve the consumer experience while increasing power grid efficiency. By bringing together generative AI, advanced ML, and a robust data architecture, Grid unlocks new levels of value, efficiency, and reliability in the power distribution sector, setting the path for smarter decisions, agile responses, and transformative change across India's evolving digital energy landscape.

Apraava Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Managing Director, Energy, said: “Grid. represents Apraava's commitment to rethinking the future of power distribution in India. This is not just a technology upgrade, but a bold step to embed AI and machine learning into the utility's operations. Through this initiative, our mission is to improve the reliability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction of the power grid. We are pleased that our solution has been recognized and appreciated by the Ministry of Power. Apraava remains committed to providing reliable power supply.” We focus on innovation and sustainability to provide affordable energy solutions to our citizens. ”

Through Grid., Apraava has demonstrated how utilities can segment consumers to enable targeted interventions and effective demand-side management, use anomaly detection to predict transformer failures and support proactive maintenance, more accurately predict demand through deep learning models to improve load planning, and automate operational workflows to provide real-time insights and rapid decision support.
