interesting direction
Meanwhile, Vietnamese films are gradually incorporating AI into the production process. A typical example is comedy Chotdon (Deal!), in which AI replaced a human actress in a key role. Lee Nguyen Duong Anh Tran (The Curse under the Moonlight), directed by Phạm Vĩnh Khương, a science fiction film created entirely with AI. and a horror theme song Que Nyap Chan (corpse) – Hoang Tuong Dinh Cuya (Midnight Paranoid), composed and performed by AI.
According to Dong Tran Cuong, director of the Vietnam Film Department at the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism, the application of AI provides new and promising opportunities for the development of Vietnam's film industry in the context of global technology integration.
While these developments bring novelty and innovation, they also pose challenges for creators.
Commenting on the rise of entertainment products created by AI, producer Tuan Mario acknowledged that AI can even imitate an artist's voice, and that AI can quickly analyze and produce results.
“However, while AI can imitate a singer's voice, it still lacks true human emotion and cannot hit the high and low notes properly,” Mario says. “Therefore, I think it will be difficult for AI to replace humans in the near future. However, it is possible to apply AI to music to speed up workflows.”
“Music is fundamentally about emotions, which cannot be replicated by AI,” added media expert Fan Anh.
“The success of any song can be measured by its reach, its meaning, and the emotion it evokes in the listener,” he says.

Trần Đình Phương, vice president of Bee Media Company, believes that the application of AI in television production reflects the transformation of the entire entertainment industry in the digital age.
From a producer perspective, we see this as an important step forward as AI can assist with program content research and development and audience data analysis, shortening production timelines from pre-production to post-production.
“As a result, the creative team has more space to focus on the 'soul' of the project – the content and its humanitarian message,” he said. Thanh Nian Newspaper (for young people).
AI as a tool
But the core value of television, especially humanitarian programs with deep humanitarian significance, lies in genuine emotion and empathy. According to Phương, this is something that will be difficult to replace with any technology, including AI.
“Therefore, while we see AI as an important support tool, it cannot replace the creative role and social responsibility of humans in any frame,” Phương added.
In practice, according to Phương, AI is helping automate multilingual subtitles, create shorter clip versions for social media, and develop content strategies through audience behavior analysis. This allows your program to spread more easily, reach your target audience accurately, and increase its impact.

However, issues of authenticity, professional ethics, and copyright also arise. If you rely on it too much, you risk undermining your audience's trust.
“The application of AI must be coupled with a transparent and responsible strategy. It is a balance between technology and humanity. Technology supports speed and efficiency, but humans remain at the creative center to ensure that television remains connected to the true emotions of viewers,” Phương explained.
