Applications of AI

A new study released by the Israel Innovation Authority on Tuesday showed that artificial intelligence (AI) is being widely used in Israel’s high-tech sector, improving work quality and productivity, but also raising concerns among employees, News.az reported, citing Xinhua news agency.

The study, which involved more than 500 employees from various companies and startups, investigated the extent to which AI tools are being integrated across Israel’s high-tech sector.

It found that 95% of employees use AI tools regularly, and 78% use them daily. Usage is highest among employees ages 25 to 34, with 86% reporting daily use.

The survey also revealed that AI is being used for a variety of tasks. Technical employees primarily use AI for development, while non-technical employees use AI for writing, research, and learning.

Approximately 82% of daily users rely on AI for three or more types of tasks, and a quarter use AI for six or more types of tasks.

Employees reported tangible productivity gains from using AI. 70 percent said their output quality has improved, 50 percent said their work time has been reduced, and 40 percent said AI has reduced their work time by more than half. Overall, approximately 75% of employees experienced a measurable increase in productivity.

At the same time, the survey also found that large-scale adoption of AI is raising concerns. Senior and experienced employees expressed greater concerns about job security, with 37% reporting high levels of concern.
