WorldQuant University (WQU) has partnered with Sazience Technology to launch the Sazience & Worldquant University Learning Academy, an initiative to build next-generation AI and data science experts in Africa.
WQU is a US-based nonprofit organization accredited by the Board of Distance Education Accreditation (DEAC). We offer free online programs in financial engineering and data science to students in over 190 countries. Sazience Technology focuses on digital transformation and talent development in the Middle East and Africa.
Focus on applied skills and local impact
In a LinkedIn post, WQU wrote: “We are proud to announce the launch of Sazience & Worldquant University Learning Academy, a transformational initiative designed to empower the next generation of Africa's AI and data science leaders. Through this collaboration with Sazience Technology, Worldquant University will expand world-class access and promote applied education.

First Student Cohort
According to Sazience Technology, the first cohort includes students from a variety of STEM and engineering backgrounds, including biomedical engineering, implantable systems, computer science, and applied AI. The program is supported by international partners, including Qintess.
Sazience Technology states, “It's more than a training program. It's the beginning of the movement. It places Africa at the heart of a global conversation about AI, innovation and digital transformation.”
