Washington (TNND) – President Donald Trump stands next to minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, DN.Y. – wearing a sombrero and mustache – Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, DN.Y. Democrats say they want to give illegal immigrants free health care to attract new voters.
Giving all these illegal aliens free health care may allow them to put them by our side so they can vote for us,” said Schumer's AI-generated portrayal as a traditional Mexican folk song played in the background.
The video was shared after President Trump joined in with Vice President J.D. Vance and met with Democratic Congress leaders at the White House to discuss negotiations to avoid an impending government shutdown. At the heart of the budget dispute are Democrats seeking to protect Obamacare subsidies. Meanwhile, the White House and Republicans have accused Democrats of trying to secure medical care for illegal immigrants.
Schumer and Jeffries denounced Trump by sharing the video and accusing him of just throwing a “tantrum.”
If you think shutdown is a joke, it's just proving that we all know. You can't negotiate, “Schumer shared with X. “You can throw a tantrum.”
Jeffries shared a photo of herself and Schumer talking outside the White House.
“Prejudice won't go anywhere,” Jeffries wrote to X.
Meanwhile, after leaving a meeting with Trump and Democratic leaders, Vance shared that he believes the federal government is “on the way to shut down.”
Congress will pass the budget until 11:59pm on Tuesday, September 30th. Otherwise, the government will be shut down and mark its first closure in seven years. The final shutdown lasted for 35 days, ending from late December 2018 to January 2019.
