Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp parent company Meta We have officially announced a new platform for discovering and creating AI video content: Vibes. With artificially generated short form videos at the forefront, the service offers visual creation tools, remixing capabilities, a variety of music tracks and styles, and you can choose from when creating new media. Of course, you can also scroll through a never-ending pipeline of algorithmically curated videos from other creators.
Rather than launching it as a standalone application, Vibes lives as a dedicated feed within the existing Meta AI app for iOS and Android. Desktop and PC users can also use another web app experience.

The big differentiator here is that instead of the quirky dance trends and unpleasant challenges, your feed is filled with raccoons on the streets sipping lattes and mousse jumping on residential trampolines.
At least these are two of the first examples Meta will provide in a Vibes announcement post. Personally, I don't see these types of uniqueness, entertainment value, or human artistry. AI-generated videobut again, perhaps I'm just too old and not in contact to “get it” (my birth year starts at 19 after all).
For now, I'll try to stay open about the concept.
