IIT Delhi opens applications for a second batch of certificate programs for applied data science and artificial intelligence

Applications of AI

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced the launch of a second batch of Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Certificate Programme. From fundamentals to deployment, learners can deploy Python production-grade Python, engineering and analysis, ML and deep model deployment AI solutions.

This six-month programme, delivered under the IIT Delhi Continuing Education Program (CEP), provides a comprehensive foundation for machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) principles and applications. These are now at the heart of the organization's overall growth, with sectors such as healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, education, transportation and entertainment offering significant benefits by integrating data-driven decision-making into processes and services.

According to McKinsey's The Data-driven 2025 report, by 2030, data will be ubiquitous across processes and decision-making points, requiring leaders to adopt a “first-time data and AI” approach. Similarly, World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs 2025 highlights that 86% of employers expect AI and information processing technology to transform their businesses by 2030. Approximately 39% of current skill sets are expected to become outdated within five years, highlighting the urgency of experts to enhance and stay competitive.

To overcome this transformational challenge, the Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Certificate Program provides key skills to thrive through the transition and create immediate workplace value. The curriculum moves from Python programming, data manipulation, and exploratory analysis through regression, classification, clustering, and dimension reduction before moving on to deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing. Learners gain practical experience in model deployments in Docker and The Cloud, adopt Sound MLOPS practices, and apply responsible AI principles through industry-based projects and culminating capstones.

In the programme presentation, Professor Ankur Gupta, the Applied Research Centre for Electronics, said at the Delhi Institute of Technology Research, India: Sectors that have a lasting impact on business outcomes. ”

This program is highly recommended to aspiring data scientists and AI enthusiasts, technology and analytics professionals seeking advanced skills or pivots, engineers and engineers applying AI in industry environments, and students and researchers who aim to deepen their applied AI and data science expertise for academic or research purposes.

Delivered in direct (D2D) format through live and interactive online classes, the program consists of 72 hours of live lectures, 40 hours of capstones, practical tutorials, and substantial asynchronous learning, with optional short campus immersion in It Delhi. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a recognition of the e issued by the CEP. IIT Delhi. Learners must meet all criteria eligible for e certification from CEP in IIT Delhi.
