Google, along with state officials and business groups in Pennsylvania, announced the AI accelerator for small and medium-sized businesses in Pennsylvania on September 12, 2025.
The program was featured at the AI Horizons Summit by Google's Serin Song, Governor Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and Team Pennsylvania, Team Pennsylvania, which provides free artificial intelligence resources.
What is included in the AI Accelerator program
The program is part of Google's National AI Works for America Initiative, providing Pennsylvania businesses with several non-cost resources to improve their AI skills and adopt new tools.
- Live workshops held statewide for hands-on training.
- A self-paced online course that covers AI fundamentals and prompts.
- Google Career Certificate for developing skills in areas of high demand.
Practical training through local workshops
The heart of the accelerator is a series of interactive workshops held throughout Pennsylvania. Designated Pennsylvania AI coaches lead these sessions in collaboration with local community organizations.
The first workshop was held on the day of the announcement of 50 small businesses and provided practical training on how to apply AI.
How to access training resources
Pennsylvania small businesses and their employees can access online courses and register for career certificate training in areas such as cybersecurity, data analytics, and project management. Certificate programs do not require prior experience.
Registration is available at grogle/aiworksforpa.
