Bihar's politics became tense after Congress released an AI-made video showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother Heeraben appeared in his dream and old him into politics.
The 36-second clip had a disclaimer that it was generated, but the BJP fought back strongly, calling it cheap politics and shaming for women. The party said it would complain to the Election Commission.
This is not the first time Modi's mother's name has been caught up in politics. In the first half of Bihar, Congress workers were arrested for making rude remarks about her during a rally. Rahul Gandhi later apologized. Modi also said his mother had nothing to do with politics.
Now, the AI video has infuriated BJP leaders, dubbed the new lows of politics and accusing Congress of misleading them with false technology. The video sparked national debate.
