Vodafone launches AI influencers for Tiktok videos

Vodafone's German branch has launched an AI influencer for Tiktok Video and promotes new local plans.

In a video posted three times to the Vodafone_DE (Vodafone Deutschland) Tiktok account, AI-generated influencers advertise the benefits of Vodafone's new 1,000 megabit internet plan.

Like many AI-generated videos, the clips had issues with the character's face, including moles that appeared and disappeared.

Most comments did not acknowledge that the ads were AI-generated, but some expressed disappointment at Vodafone's use of technology.

Vodafone responded that the social media team was not on vacation and was accepting AI.

“I'm not on vacation, but I try out different styles. There are so many AI in my daily life, and I try out advertising,” Vodafone translated from German.
