Mark Zuckerberg Meta Signature Google and $10 Billion Cloud Agreement, Partner with Midjourney and AI Major Push

AI News

Meta is following what Mark Zuckerberg imagined in July. We are investing in billions of dollars of artificial intelligence (AI) and bidding to prepare ourselves for more future preparation.

Facebook's parents' chief AI director said on Friday that the company had signed a deal with Midjourney, a generator AI lab. In another transaction reported by Reuters, the Mark Zuckerberg-led tech company has signed a $10 billion partnership with Google.

The development comes as Mark Zuckerberg is restructuring its AI efforts by building Meta Superintelligence Labs, which is poaching top AI talent from rivals, including ChatGpt Maker Openai.

Two major deals Meta recently signed are driving AI dreams.

Meta-Midjourney Partnership

Meta has signed a deal with Midjourney, a generation AI lab, to obtain a license for the startup's “aesthetic technology” for Facebook's parents' future products and models.

The technical partnership brings together research teams from both companies and “bring beauty to billions,” Meta's chief AI officer, Alexandr Wang, said in the X-Post on Friday.

“We were very impressed with Midi Joanie. They have achieved a real feat of technical and aesthetic excellence and are excited to work closer together with them,” he said.

This movement demonstrates the meta driving force for distinguishing products into visual quality. Generating images from text prompts Midjourney licenses the tool to users through a subscription model.

“We need to take every existential approach to ensure that the meta delivers the best possible product. This means working with world-class talent, an ambitious computing roadmap and the best players across the industry,” Wang said.

Midjourney's AI capabilities can scale up user experiences in terms of AI image generation, reduce content production costs, and fire engagement.

Meta has a $10 billion contract with Google

To further the AI journey, the company owned by Mark Zuckerberg reportedly also signed a contract with Google, which amounted to over $10 billion.

Google's six-year cloud computing agreement with Meta Platform is the second largest agreement in recent months after Sundar Pichid Giant partnered with Openai.

According to the report, Meta will be able to access Google Cloud servers, storage, networking and other services.

Meta is seeking external partners to fund the large infrastructure needed to power AI by offloading $2 billion of data center assets.
