Hyderabad-based AI-driven enterprise solution Blue Cloud Softtech Solutions Limited has announced the deployment of AccessGenie, the AI-based video analytics system from the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB). The technology is currently operating at Bhadrachalam Bridge as part of an effort to combat drug trafficking.

The Bhadrachalam Bridge, which spans approximately 1.13km beyond the Godavari River, is an important road link connecting the town of Bhadrachalam in Telangana, and is Andhra Pradesh, which includes areas near Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and part of the East Godavali district. In addition to easing access to the famous Sri Sitarama Chandraswamy temple, the bridge plays an important role in the transportation and commerce of the region, serving as the main transport route for both passenger and freight traffic. Its strategic location has also become important from a security standpoint, particularly in efforts to monitor and control the movement of drugs and other illegal activities across state borders.

AccessGenie uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze live CCTV feeds and replace manual monitoring with automatic alerts. The system employs tools to detect suspicious vehicle movements, potential fraud, and unusual behavior, along with tools such as license plate recognition and rule-based alert mechanisms. When an alert is triggered, notifications are sent in real time via SMS, email, and WhatsApp, allowing authorities to act quickly.

This deployment forms part of a broader strategy by TGANB to use modern tools to address drug smuggling and public safety challenges. Focusing on technologies such as AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity, Blue Cloud Softtech positions AccessGenie as a solution that can evolve with future needs. Its design allows for additional features such as face recognition and gunshot detection to be added later.

AccessGenie is already being implemented by other coastal security agencies, suggesting a broader interest in technology across law enforcement.

Janaki Yarlagadda, chairman of Blue Cloud Softtech Solutions Limited, said the company is proud to be able to support Tganb's work.

She said, “This deployment is more than a technical success. It shows how local technology can be used to address national concerns. By converting traditional surveillance into real-time surveillance, it will enable frontline teams to respond more quickly and effectively.”
