Business research at Booking.com revealed which AI commands the highest level of trust and interest among professional travelers. Reported by Olivia Palamountain

A new survey of the business on Booking.com found that over half of business travelers employ autonomous agents to plan and book trips.

Plus, 89% trusted AI system that offers ultra-personal travel recommendations. Real-time language translation services and automated cost tracking and reporting each earned confidence from 88% of respondents.

Language translation services help travelers break down barriers to communications of smoother interactions, but automated cost tracking proves particularly valuable for business travelers by automatically classifying budgets into areas such as food, travel, and accommodation.

Meeting and event coordination was fourth with 87% confidence, followed by travel itinerary planning and optimization, and travel risk assessment and mitigation tools both at 83%. Health and Wellness Monitoring Applications and Improved Cyber Protection Received 78% Trust from Business Travelers, respectively.

When looking into which features generate most interest, automated cost tracking and reporting tops the list with 47% of business travelers looking to learn more about applications that streamline financial management while traveling.

The desire for an optimized travel experience is clear, with 45% of experts efficiently planning and implementing itineraries in search of AI-driven solutions. This study has proven that these applications are particularly useful for travelers visiting unfamiliar destinations.

The role of AI in promoting coordination between meetings and events was also notable. 45% of business travelers are interested in technology that simplifies the organization of professional gatherings.

The Health and Wellness Monitoring Application received 42% interest, while the enhanced cyber protections led to 35% interest from respondents. In particular, ultra-personal travel recommendations (despite the most reliable feature) generated interest only from 31% of travelers. This suggests that this technology may already be widely understood or adopted.

The real-time language translation service and travel risk assessment tool completed interest rankings of 28% and 30%, respectively.

The findings suggest that handling AI in complex travelling is becoming increasingly more comfortable for business travelers, especially when it comes to practical management tasks such as personalization and expense management.
