Dr. MD Shahinul Alam, Vice-Chancellor of the Medical University of Bangladesh, said at a seminar held in Dhaka on Monday that the use of artificial intelligence in medicine is inevitable.
'You can't leave AI. The department of Bangladesh Medical University must take initiatives according to the needs of AI and ensure the use of AI,” he said.
The university administrator provided the necessary support in this regard, adding, “AI can play a major role in making activities in various departments, including pathology, radiation, and oncology, easy, dynamic and perfect.”
In a special guest speech at the seminar hosted by the University Central Seminar Subcommittee, Pro-VC for Management Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad said: If AI can't keep up, medicine is behind. Using AI can also identify diseases such as cancer early on. Therefore, there is no way to deny the importance of AI. ”
Pro-VC MD Mujibur Rahman Howlader for Research and Development said, “BMU and Buet are ready to work together to ensure the use of AI at Bangladesh Medical University.”
The AI-based robotics rehabilitation centre is already set up at BMU's super specialty hospital. in

Dr. FM Siddiqui, a member of the BMU Syndicate, has published an article entitled Artificial Intelligence: Landscapes of Clinical Medicine as keynote speaker at the Central Seminar.
