Facebook user “Try Ppord” (Archive Link) shared the photo on July 7, 2025, saying, “It just happened in New York. We need to know how this is happening.
investigation:
To investigate the virus posts, we have analyzed the video intimately and discovered some inconsistencies. For example, while a gorilla hands the baby to a woman, his hands mysteriously pass through the woman's hand. Also, the gorilla walk seemed suspicious. These inconsistencies raised doubts that video could be generated.
To further check, I decided to use an AI detection tool to analyze the video. The “It Ai” video detector showed a high reliability score that a video or part of the video was generated by AI.
Another AI detection tool, Hive Moderation, showed the 99% chance that video will be operated by AI.
We also contacted Azahar Machwe, an AI expert. AzaharMachwe confirmed that this video is being operated by AI.
To verify the origins of the video, we conducted a Google Lens search on the video keyframes and found the original video on a YouTube channel named “Ai-Videos-Arg”.
Finally, we scanned Try Ppord's Facebook profile and found that the user has over 100 followers.
