Companies are moving from an age where analytics tools help people make decisions, to a future in which analytics powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI) is perceptual and adaptive.
Gartner predicted that 75% of the new analytical content will be contextualized for intelligent applications through generated AI by 2027, allowing for a synthetic connectivity between insights and actions.
“This enables dynamic and autonomous decisions that can transform the software, business processes and models of businesses and consumers,” said Georgia O'Callaghan, director of Gartner at this week's Gartner Data and Analytics Summit.

However, AI leaders report that organizations use AI tools for automated insights and natural language queries. Even the static nature of current analysis often falls short of delivering it in a truly dynamic and automated way.
The analyst company also predicts that enhanced analytics capabilities will evolve into an autonomous analytics platform by 2027, fully managing and running 20% of its business processes.
