AI is changing workplaces faster and more difficult than ever for employees and their superiors to maintain.
Scott Galloway, a professor of business at New York University and host of the podcast The Prof G Pod, described the impact of AI on the workplace and shared some of the metaphors he described in discussions with Microsoft's chief scientists Jaime Teevan and Greg Shove (CEO), as well as AI Education Company.

“Corporate Ozempic”
Many corporate leadership and boards use AI to reduce costs. In this scenario, Galloway said he believes that the AI has the same properties as GLP-1.
I consider AI to be a “corporate othempic.” This means turning off the “You don't need any more calories” switch, despite Ozempic telling you to burn as many calories as possible, as your instinct can enter your brain and make sure your instinct burns enough calories before you. And normally, when you're the CEO and you're growing, the signal “needs more calories. You need more people.” Musk has actually announced the meta by providing, to some extent, a minimal product of 20% of Twitter staff and actually announcing key revenue calls where they say “lay off 20% of staff, maintaining 23% growth and sending 70%.” AI is Ozempic.
“East German Stasi with Wi-Fi”
The “dark side” of AI is that it can easily identify people with low performance, Galloway compares it to East Germany's Cold War secret police and says it is well-known for their extensive surveillance.
Now you can upload all your email and slack interactions with your employees and say, “Give me a few hours of estimates for the week this person is actually working.” And it gives me what I believe, perhaps wrong, but I believe, and that's important, my perception of how many hours per week this person actually works.

But the top 10% of the US workforce, Galloway believes AI is a boon.
If you're really good, this is really good news for you. America is essentially optimized for the top 10%. Essentially, over the last 50 years, American businesses have moved into the economy, using the bottom 90% as nutritional bags, making the top 10% more wealthy and wealthy. And AI-like speedballs that get the top 10% of AI-like working hard, really creative, and know how to use these tools and make them into FU. I mean they're just going to be monsters.
