[SINGAPORE] Digitally mature companies eager to do more in the AI field have the opportunity to tap on new programs.
The AI Cloud Takeoff Program, which began on Friday (June 13th), is a joint venture between Google Cloud and Digital Industry Singapore (DIG). A Google Cloud spokesman said:
DIG is the joint office of the Economic Development Committee, Enterprise Singapore and InfoComm Media Development Authority.
Selected companies are expected to receive financial incentives of up to US$500,000, the spokesman added.
The program prioritizes the AI Trailblazer program, run by government agencies such as Google Cloud and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information.
The spokesman said: “The market is currently in a different stage of AI maturity, something that most organizations we are involved in have already tried and adopted at least one enterprise AI solution.”

To be considered a digital maturity, a company must:

At least three technical staff can be committed to a six-month program, including a two-week AI capacity building bootcamp hosted by Google Cloud Experts.

He has officially received support from executive sponsors, such as representatives from senior management positions at the company who participate in the six-month program.

You are ready to prepare at least one AI use case.
In addition to the $500,000 financial incentives, companies selected to participate in the program will have the opportunity to work with Google Cloud certified technology consultants and implementation partners to establish the AI Center of Excellence.
Google Cloud Partners, which Google Cloud Partners has been appointed to the program include Accenture, Asianapac, CloudMile, Deloitte, Kendryl, NTT Data and Searce, according to Google Cloud.
“This allows (companies) to create AI-driven intellectual property, products and services, to enhance competitiveness and unlock new revenue opportunities,” the spokesman said.
Companies must achieve several milestones to qualify for $500,000 in financial incentives.
The government grant covers 70% of the cost of the company using professional and cloud services during the programme for 105,000 S$105,000. The lock is only unlocked if the company successfully develops and pilots at least one minimally viable product to address AI use cases.
Another S$200,000 worth of licenses and credits for Google Cloud Skills Boost will be paid to promote employee training and change management.
The final $195,000 credit on Google Cloud credits is paid when the company is ready to expand its minimum product and promises to do so with Google Cloud support. Additional Google Cloud Credits may be awarded on a case-by-case basis.
Point-of-Sale's management system company Embed was one of 30 selected by Google Cloud, a pilot program launched in November 2024.
EMBED is located in 60 countries, including Singapore, working in arcade time zones, with a global reach of 97 million individual players.
Using the generated AI, the company has developed an AI support kiosk that can provide customized game recommendations to players adding credits to their payment cards.

Senior Minister of Trade and Industry Lou Yen Lin said in a speech at the launch of Pasir Panjang's programme that Singapore strongly believes in the transformational impact of AI and supports the widespread use and adoption of AI across the sector.
“AI can drive transformation in the enterprise and workforce, which allows businesses to automate manual business processes, increase workers' skills, increase productivity, drive innovation and further increase business revenue,” she said.
She described the AI Cloud Takeoff Program as “a powerful launchpad for companies in the AI innovation journey, from early experiments to full-scale transformation.”
“Companies that pursue AI innovation and ultimately have an aspiration to establish excellence in AI centres in Singapore can leverage Google's robust AI ecosystem to accelerate their journey,” she said.
The AI Cloud Takeoff Program is a pioneering program based on the Singapore Government's “Enterprise Compute Initiative” announced in the Budget 2025 Statement. .
