VEO 3 Fast allows users to test and create video ideas faster and support Google's broader AI strategy.
Google has introduced Veo 3 Fast, a fast version of an AI video generation tool that promises to cut production times by half.
Now available to Gemini Pro and Flow Pro users. The updated model creates 720p videos at more than twice the speed of its predecessor, earning the mark of progress that takes a step forward with scaling Google's video AI infrastructure.
Gemini Pro subscribers can now generate three VEO 3 fast videos daily as part of their plan. Meanwhile, Flow Pro users can create videos using 20 credits per clip, which can significantly reduce costs compared to previous models. Gemini Ultra subscribers enjoy even more generous restrictions under the premium tier.
Upgrades are more than just improving performance. According to Google's Josh Woodward, the improved infrastructure will hold smoother playback and better subtitle methods aimed at making video creation more seamless and accessible.
Google has also tested the voice prompt feature, allowing users to express their video ideas and see them come true on the screen.
VEO 3 Fast is currently limited to a resolution of 720p, but it promotes creativity through rapid iterations. Users can experiment with prompts and editing without completing the initial attempt.
The results are not comparable to Hollywood, but this model opens up new possibilities for companies, creators and filmmakers looking to prototype video ideas and content quickly or create content.
