- Imou Doorbell 2s has a pan camera that tracks visitors
- That 180 degree view covers the entire front of your home
- It has AI person detection and can alert you to individuals who are loting outside
Imou, who manufactures some of the best home security cameras we've tested at Techradar here, has launched a new video doorbell with a rotating camera for visitors to track and track across your property.
The Imou Doorbell 2 can be used wired or wirelessly, and is bundled with indoor chimes that can be connected to anywhere in your home. The chime (known as the DS2S Gong) also holds an SD card for local video storage, which acts as a Wi-Fi extender.
The IMOU Doorbell 2S has 2K resolution, which is not the best (many of the best video doorbells can now be recorded in 4K), but its panning lens provides a very wide field of view to monitor the entire front of the house without blind spots.
Panning technology also eliminates the need for angled brackets needed to attach angled doorbells to troublesome door frames.

Anti-love
The new doorbell uses passive infrared (PIR) and smart human detection to reduce false alarms and send real-time alerts when people are at the door while ignoring animals and vehicles. There is also a “lotering detection” to warn you if someone has been hanging around your home for a long time.
If you want to stand up to these suspicious individuals, the IMOU Doorbell 2DS also offers a voice changer so you can deal with it while protecting your identity.
Currently available in the UK for £79.99 (approx. $110/$170) from Curry's. I contacted Imou to ask about availability in the US and Australia. I will update this article if there are more details.
Imou Doorbell 2 can use subscription-free, but if you want cloud storage as a backup, you can register with IMOU Protect for £3.49 a month (approx. $5) or £34.99 a year (approx. $50/AU$70).
