Anantnag: The Department of Computer Science, University of Kashmir South Campus held a one-day seminar on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and blockchain.

The full-day seminar was attended by faculty, researchers and students from various departments on campus, according to a press release.

Dr. Hilal Ahmad Khanday, Academic Coordinator of the Computer Science Department, delivered a welcome address and highlighted the main objectives of the event held on March 29th.

In his introductory speech, South Campus Director Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Khanday said that technology has minimized human intervention in finding solutions to various problems.

He inspired his students to explore new jobs by learning skills based on AI, ML and robotics.

Dr. Khanday also asked a special guest, Mr. Shameem Shah, CEO Lelafe of IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, to help students on campus find jobs and internships at his company.

In his keynote speech, Shameem Shah gave insight into the enormous potential of artificial intelligence in today’s world.

Artificial intelligence has great potential for healthcare systems around the world, and taking full advantage of it will certainly help the industrial sector automate tasks and significantly reduce human intervention, he said. said.

Guest speaker Dr. Rayees Ahmad spoke about “bridging the gap between industry and academia” through artificial intelligence. He showed how to connect real problems to AI and ML.

Another guest speaker, Mudasir Bhat, gave a detailed overview of video analytics in the industrial sector.

Dr. Abid Hussein Wani from the Computer Science Department expressed his appreciation.
