What is Runway AI Gen-2?
Titled Runway AI Gen-2, the second generation of Runway’s AI software is a significant improvement over the first generation. The company believes that its new approach allows users to make new videos realistic and realistic by using image composition and styles or text prompts (features present in Gen-1) that apply to the structure of the source video. It claims to be consistently synthetic. text prompt only.

Features of Runway AI Gen-2
In terms of new features, Gen-2 has three additional modes.
- Mode 1 (text to video): Create a video from scratch in any way imaginable, using only text prompts.
- Mode 2 (text + image to video): Generate videos based on driving images and text prompts.
- Mode 3 – Image to Video: Generate a video using only your driving images.
Additionally, modes introduced in Runway AI Gen-1 carry over to Runway AI Gen-2 as follows:
- Mode 4 (stylized): Use image or prompt aesthetics to inform how the video will be rendered on every frame.
- Mode 5 (Storyboard): Create a finished, stylized, animated rendering from your mockup.
- Mode 6 (Mask): Separation of subjects.
- Mode 7 (rendering): Create photorealistic renderings from a single input image or prompt.
- Mode 8 (Customize): Fine tune the model for better accuracy and get Gen-1 working.

Runway Gen-2 seems interested in creating videos from scratch, but many qualifiers will have to qualify this decision. There is a serious lack of accessibility, and the demo videos released by Runway are short, choppy, and not photorealistic.

How Runway Gen-2 Text-to-Video AI Works
Those who want it may be difficult to obtain at the moment. Business Runway, which develops AI-powered film and editing tools, has announced the availability of its Gen 2 AI system waitlist.
