After superstar Aamir Khan issued a warning over a deepfake video of himself purporting to be election propaganda for a particular political party, actor Ranveer Singh has become the latest victim.

Recently, a video of Ranveer allegedly expressing his political views surfaced online.

However, it was later revealed that the video was created using Ranveer's artificial intelligence voice clone.

The video of the actor's recent visit to Varanasi seems authentic, but the audio is from an AI-powered voice clone of Ranveer.

The Padmavat actor issued a deepfake warning on his Instagram story, writing, “Deepfake se bacho doston” (Friends, beware of deepfakes).

The actor, who is married to Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, recently became the center of attention for designer Manish Malhotra along with Kriti Sanon at an open-air fashion show along the Ganges River in Varanasi.

During his visit to the ancient city, Ranveer appreciated the changes brought about by the overhaul of public infrastructure, while also sharing his “sacred” experience in the city.
