Newsbridge introduces new MXT-1 AI for generating human-like descriptions of video content

AI Video & Visuals

Newsbridge announces MXT-1, a new generative AI indexing technology. Newsbridge’s core AI indexing technology uses natural language models to generate human-like descriptions of video content. Capable of indexing over 500 hours of video per minute, MXT-1 is a game changer for organizations working with media and sports content.

Leveraging this technology, users can index vast amounts of content in record time and search large video collections as easily and intuitively as searching the web.

“With MXT-1, Newsbridge has achieved an important breakthrough in content indexing and discovery,” he said. Frederic Petitpont, co-founder and CTO of Newsbridge“Our new core technology combines multiple AI modalities, including computer vision and speech processing, with natural language models. MXT-1 combines video recognition with the power of language models to create incredible achieve similar results.”

MXT-1 has been specifically trained on hundreds of thousands of hours of media, entertainment and sports audiovisual content leveraging AI Transformers to describe content for these industry indexing and search use cases is particularly good at MXT-1 allows users to quickly start enriching, sharing, and monetizing their archives.

“Historically, broadcasters have faced the difficult problem of which footage to fully index due to limited media log resources to transcribe, explain and summarize content.” says. Philippe Petitpont, co-founder and CEO of Newsbridge“MXT-1 dramatically reduces the cost of using AI at scale and makes mass indexing of media assets a business reality. It allows us to pinpoint and shed light on the hidden gems of our archives.”

The cost of traditional AI services is prohibitive and enterprises are hesitant to fully automate archiving and live indexing operations. With significantly reduced energy consumption, MXT-1 makes AI indexing seven times more cost-effective than mono or unimodal AI systems.

MXT-1 represents a giant leap forward in AI indexing technology based on its ability to describe scenes in natural language. Newsbridge’s language model links raw modalities (i.e. detection of faces, text, logos, landmarks, objects, actions, shot types, and transcriptions) to generate semantic descriptions for enhanced searchability . This improves the current state of AI indexing, which produces a hodgepodge of tags that fail to provide the required level of information to content owners. MXT-1 bundles all the latest advancements in Newsbridge’s multi-faceted AI, with multimodal rules and a custom thesaurus that can be trained and fine-tuned by end users.

MXT-1 is currently available in beta mode and is gradually being rolled out to all of Newsbridge’s cloud solutions, including Just Index, Media Hub, Media Marketplace and Live Asset Manager.

Newsbridge will be showcasing its new MXT-1 AI indexing technology at the 2023 NAB Show, April 16-19 in Las Vegas, booth W2073.
