“AI Voice,” an artificial intelligence-based multilingual speech synthesis service developed by South Korea’s major telecommunications company KT, has been adopted by the operating company of Mango Board, a domestic design and video content production platform. Depending on the context of the script written, the service creates different voices with different emotions. This service is available in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
AI Voice ysers can express various emotions such as joy, calmness, and sadness through artificial intelligence (AI) voice capabilities. By applying emotional dubbing technology, the user’s feelings can be dubbed into artificial voice. Similar AI-based speech generation tools are widely used by video content he creators who upload their videos to social media such as YouTube.
KT said in a statement on April 6 that AI Voice has been adopted by the Mango Board. Users can create more realistic video content because the characters can speak with different emotions. “We will continue to improve our cooperation with various companies to revitalize the domestic AI ecosystem,” said Choi Jungi, head of his AI and big data business unit at KT. .
The AI voice service, released in July 2022, was used to create an audiobook featuring the voice of 51-year-old singer Yoon Do-hyun, known for rock band YB. KT collaborated with the popular domestic e-book subscription service “Millis Library” to reproduce a book titled “I quit my job due to bad relationships.”
The telecom company aims to later apply “My AI Voice” to the Mango Board, which can generate AI voices similar to human voices. An artificial voice can be created by recording 30 sentences.
