The next era of business is defined by how well an organization transforms intelligence into behavior.
We are witnessing a new wave of intelligent applications reshaping how organizations operate, embedding key operational contexts in real-time data and AI models, enabling rapid and thoughtful decisions. Unlike traditional software, which is managed by strict business rules, these modern applications can learn and adapt to rapidly evolving customer and market demands. Optimize processes, predict needs, and work with both human and artificial “thinkers” to detect changes that will increase the competitive advantage of the organization.
But we stand in the cusp of bold waves of innovation. Unfortunately, only discerning organizations can fully utilize it. Despite the great potential of AI and cloud technologies, their true impact depends on using these innovations with secure, semantically rich data that is highly available within an organization.
Transform results using intelligent applications
This year, SAP Sapphire announced a major expansion to SAP Business Data Cloud, delivering on the promise of intelligent applications. It is a pre-built, configurable application that seamlessly integrates trustworthy data products, AI capabilities, and business simulations to meet the needs of all business leaders.
These intelligent applications are more than just analysis tools. They transcend traditional analytics by automating and coordinating work both in analytical and transactional workflows, allowing customers to make decisions and take actions within the SAP Business Data Cloud.

Today, we are introducing new intelligent application capabilities into the SAP Business Data Cloud. People's intelligenceproviding based on workforce composition, skills, and reward data products. Built on data from SAP SuccessFactors software, People Intelligence delivers talent-driven recommendations to HR and business leaders, providing recommendations to optimize talent decisions, drive engagement and ensure compliance. It features workforce composition insights, compensation insights, skills insights, and more, all available in the second half of 2025.

Additional intelligent application features in SAP Business Data Cloud entering a preview of the technology include:
- Cloud ERP Intelligence: Empowers leaders with transformative insights, business simulation and AI capabilities to manage uncertainty, drive profitability and achieve sustainability goals. These features include new data products from key business processes such as manufacturing (production execution, resource optimization, etc.), supply chain (inventory, delivery, etc.), contract accounting (payment, invoice, etc.).
- Customer Intelligence: Guide sales, service, marketing and commerce teams with a 360-degree customer view to predict your needs, improve targeting, and build a comprehensive customer profile.
- Financial information: Provides real-time forecasting and planning, system-wide data connection data, and AI-powered anomaly detection for CFOs and finance teams.
- Using Intelligence: Provide real-time spend visibility to procurement and operational leaders to minimize risk for suppliers, flag overspends and reduce costs.
Each intelligent application in the SAP Business Data Cloud is supported by curated governance data products, a structured set of business data, and metadata designed to accelerate use cases and reduce the overhead of data integration. Additionally, SAP Databricks is natively available in SAP Business Data Cloud, allowing users to leverage SAP data products on existing lakebeds using a zero-copy approach.
As part of these technology previews, we are announcing the delivery of hundreds of new data products over 2025 across all SAP business suite domains, from inventory optimization and delivery analytics to sustainability and compliance data products. The first wave includes new environmental, health, safety (EHS) and product compliance datasets, along with sustainability footprint data that continues at the end of the year.
Amplify AI values with the most powerful data
Additionally, SAP Business Data Cloud is expanding its knowledge graph capabilities. Originally launched within SAP Datasphere, knowledge graphs can now ingest and map metadata to SAP and external sources, allowing seamless consumption of models published in SAP Knowledge Graphs in SAP BTP. This creates a living model of how business data is structured and connected, providing a semantic backbone in which AI can operate with greater accuracy.
In conjunction with Joule in SAP Business Data Cloud, users now commonly available can engage naturally complex business data, as naturally as they think, without the constraints of traditional technology. Joule unlocks the full abundance of enterprise information, allowing people across the organization to navigate, infer and act intelligence based on real business contexts.

Open Data Ecosystem: Extend Intelligence Beyond SAP
It also makes SAP Business Data Cloud more accessible and powers the next generation of intelligent multi-cloud applications.
Starting in the second quarter, SAP Business Data Cloud will be available on AWS, with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure expected to continue in the second half of 2025. This makes SAP's data foundation more accessible and deployable within a multi-cloud strategy, providing the flexibility to enable customers to run intelligent workloads anywhere.
At the same time, SAP is actively working with key partners to build the next wave of intelligent applications.
- Accenture Release six intelligent applications that address key challenges in supply chain, talent, finance and procurement (pending GA timeline).
- Adobe and the Sap We have co-developed applications that combine Adobe's marketing data with SAP's financial and supply chain data, enabling real-time alignment of demand signals and operational plans expected in the second half of 2025.
- Palantir and SAP Partners to promote joint client cloud migration journeys and modernization programs. The seamless connection between Palantir and SAP Business Data Cloud allows customers to build data foundations that are harmonious across their enterprise landscape. SAP Business Data Cloud and Palantir Foundry and AIP transform data silos into reliable data foundations that human + AI teams enable in the real world. Together, businesses will respond responsibly and deliver important outcomes, support customers, including the US government, and quickly adapt to changes and disruptions.
- Thomson Reuters Develop intelligent applications to help customers navigate the rapidly moving challenges in the current global trade and customs environment planned for the end of 2025.
- joint Colibra When run on SAP BDC data, SAP Business Data Cloud Customer can now run up to 10 times more active data quality jobs with Colibra data quality and observability at no additional cost. This limited-time offer will help accelerate decision-making, enhance compliance and improve AI preparation, and will be available until May 30, 2026.
The scope of partner collaborations also extends to data enrichment use cases. New partnership with Moody's Joint customers can blend SAP accounts receivable data with Moody's risk data sets to enhance cash flow forecasts, prioritize collections, and reduce bad debt exposure. The solution is scheduled to be made publicly available in the fourth quarter of 2025.
We are excited to partner with our customers and the ecosystem to unlock the new generation of intelligent applications in SAP Business Data Cloud. There, trustworthy data, AI, and business context bring together to drive meaningful change. The future of modern business belongs to people who turn intelligence into actions.
Let's get started
