Google wants to make the entire tedious process of creating a video presentation as easy as creating a single slide, and it's using the power of AI to make it happen. The company has launched a new AI platform called Vids that can make the company's wish a reality — and do it in no time.
If you've always felt that creating videos was a lot of work, Google's Vids will change that impression by letting you create presentation videos that you can drop your media content into and share with other colleagues. The platform is still in testing, so it will be a while before the official release where everyone can use the tool.
Google Vids AI Platform – How it works
Vids is an AI platform, not to be mistaken for another version of Sora, that, as the company highlights in its Vids demo video, lets you create a simple working presentation by adding media layers for music, background audio, and a script that describes your project.
You can also add files from your Workspace account that bring relevance to your presentation and edit further at any point in the video creation process. Google says it has a set of templates to get you started and lets you improvise the details using Gemini by adding prompts for what exactly you need from the video.

There's also a repository of royalty-free materials that you can add to your content to further polish your presentation video before sending it out to everyone in the office.
AI-powered tools are gaining traction at an incredible pace and we are already seeing it in audio and video creation platforms. Google is committed to this space and with robust models like its Workspace, Vids is a key part of its future product strategy.
