We help our customers leverage AI services to drive innovation, increase productivity, and solve problems important to humanity, such as developing breakthrough therapies and new ways to address the challenges of climate change. Ensuring proper guardrails for the responsible use of AI is not limited to technology companies and governments. Every organization that creates or uses AI systems must develop and implement its own governance system. That’s why today we’re announcing three of his AI Customer Commitments to help our customers on their journey to responsible AI.

  • Provision of training curriculum: We will also share the work we are doing to build a responsible AI practice and culture at Microsoft, including key parts of the curriculum we use to train Microsoft employees.
  • Create a dedicated resource: We invest dedicated resources and expertise in regions around the world to answer your questions about AI adoption and use responsibly.

  • Regulatory Engagement Support: We have extensive experience helping clients in the public sector and highly regulated industries manage the various regulatory issues that arise when addressing the use of information technology.   • Regulatory advocacy: Finally, we will play an active role in working with governments to promote effective and interoperable AI regulation. The recently announced Microsoft Blueprint for AI Governance sets out Microsoft’s proposals for an appropriate AI regulatory framework for governments and other stakeholders.   • Partner support: Many of our partners have already created comprehensive practices to help customers evaluate, test, deploy and commercialize AI solutions, including building their own responsible AI systems. We leverage this expertise to launch programs with selected partners to help our mutual customers deploy their own responsible AI systems. Today we are happy to announce that PwC and EY are launch partners for this exciting programme.

Ultimately, we know that these efforts are just the beginning and that they need to be strengthened as both technology and regulatory requirements evolve. But we are also excited about this opportunity to work even closer with our customers as we continue our responsible AI journey together.
