In a recent announcement, Microsoft revealed that upcoming Windows 11 devices will come preloaded with an advanced, AI-enabled Outlook app, replacing the Mail, Calendar and People apps as the default mailbox application starting in 2024.

In a blog post, Microsoft said, “Beginning in 2024, all new Windows 11 devices will include the new Outlook for Windows as the default mailbox application, available free of charge to all users. The Mail and Calendar apps will be The Microsoft Store will continue until the end of 2024.”

For existing devices, users can switch to the new Outlook for Windows using switch buttons within the Mail and Calendar applications.
