AI Video & Visuals

Adobe is poised to revolutionize video creation and production workflows with breakthrough generative AI innovations within Adobe Premiere Pro. The new tools promise exciting creative opportunities for professional editors as they race to keep up with the rapid pace of video production. Upcoming generative AI tools within Premiere Pro will help users streamline the editing of all their videos, making it easier to add or remove objects in a scene and enhance existing clips.

This streamlined editing process will be powered by new video models that will join the Firefly model ensemble, which includes images, vectors, designs, and text effects. Adobe continues on a trajectory to further develop his Firefly AI model in areas such as imaging, video, audio, and 3D, where it has considerable expertise. These models are expected to be tightly integrated across Creative Cloud and Adobe Express.

In an effort to integrate third-party generated AI models directly into Adobe apps like Premiere Pro, Adobe also announced its vision for the future. This evolution strengthens Premiere Pro as a fully flexible and extensible professional video tool for any workflow. In the future, video editors may be able to leverage Premiere Pro's integrated OpenAI and Runway video generation models to generate B-roll for their projects. Additionally, Pika Labs can also help with the Generative Extend tool to add a few seconds to the end of the shot.

Adobe is offering customers new generative AI capabilities powered by Adobe Firefly and various third-party models. This means customers can access a variety of new features without leaving their daily workflow in Premiere Pro.

“Adobe is rethinking every step of the video creation and production workflow to give creators new power and flexibility to bring their vision to life,” said Ashley Still, senior vice president of Adobe's Creative Products Group. . “By deeply embedding generative AI innovations into our core Premiere Pro workflow, we are solving real pain points that video editors experience every day, while creating more space for editors to focus on their work. .”

Additionally, Adobe announced that AI-powered audio workflows in Premiere Pro will soon be generally available. Later this year, Premiere Pro will be showing off a technology preview of generative AI workflows powered by new Firefly video models.

Adobe's decades of experience with AI has shown that AI-generated content is most beneficial when it becomes a natural part of an individual's daily routine. Therefore, Adobe focuses on seamlessly integrating proprietary and specialized AI models within applications. Adobe is committed to responsible innovation, which is why we also ensure that the integration of third-party models within our applications complies with safety standards.

In addition to new generative AI video tools, Adobe is launching new audio workflows in Premiere Pro. These allow editors to meticulously control and improve sound quality. Features include interactive fade handles, new essential sound badges with audio category tagging, effects badges, redesigned waveforms in the timeline, and more.
