ChatGPT failed to pinpoint digital minister Taro Kono, despite advocating greater use of artificial intelligence to overcome labor shortages due to population decline.
“When I asked ChatGPT who Taro Kono was, they gave me the wrong answer,” Kono said in an interview with Bloomberg Television on Monday. “So be careful,” he added. Mr. Kono requested that his name be written in Japanese style with his last name first.
Kono said that when asked how ChatGPT identified him when Kono entered a question about himself, Kono was referred to as the “Prime Minister of Japan.”
