Apple just registered a new subdomain record ahead of WWDC: genai.apple.com. All signs point to WWDC 2026 being a major AI renaissance for Apple, with the company delivering on its WWDC 2024 promises and some additional new announcements.
This subdomain was first discovered by Aaron Perris. mcroomersand the link does not currently lead to a live web page. It’s not entirely clear what this will be used for or if it will be a public-facing website, but it goes without saying that this is probably related to Apple’s upcoming generative AI announcement at WWDC.
As mentioned above, Apple is finally delivering on its promise from two years ago, and more. Siri will eventually be able to understand more personal context, recognize things on your screen, and take actions on your behalf in apps. This is finally possible thanks to a new partnership between Apple and Google, where Apple will power Siri with the Gemini diffusion model hosted on Private Cloud Compute.
In addition to what was announced at WWDC 2024, Apple is also reportedly introducing a new Siri app. This gives you access to previous Siri conversations, as well as text-based conversations with Siri.

summary
Other Apple Intelligence upgrades planned for WWDC 2026 include the ability to generate wallet passes from physical tickets, new editing features in the Photos app, and additional features in Visual Intelligence. In addition to Apple Intelligence, Apple is primarily expected to focus on performance improvements and stability above all else.
